Experience in the use of four-component polyphite oil in the complex treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa
Resume: The results of treatment of patients with various erosive lesions of the oral mucosa were compared using standard treatment and complex therapy with the herbal remedy “Fitoleum Gum and teeth oil” (GTO), which is a four-component polyphite oil based on sea buckthorn oil, extracts of St. John’s wort, nettle and walnut leaves. The study included data from 32 patients with various erosive lesions of the oral mucosa: recurrent oral aphthae, chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis and traumatic lesions of the oral mucosa (Stomatitis and related lesions according to ICD). Seventeen patients were treated according to the protocol of disease management in combination with the herbal preparation, while 15 patients were a control group. The analysis of clinical results showed that in the group using GTO, significantly faster epithelialization of erosions, relief of the inflammatory process and reduction of pain symptoms were observed. Thus, complex therapy with the use of GTO can contribute to more effective and rapid treatment of lesions of the oral mucosa, as well as reduce the frequency of relapses.
